Job summary

MasTec Industrial is seeking a skilled Heavy Equipment Operator in Texas to operate excavators, dozers, loaders, forklifts and other heavy machinery across diverse projects. You will support land clearing, excavation, and material handling while maintaining safety compliance.

Ideal candidates have 1–3 years of heavy equipment experience, perform routine maintenance, and participate in toolbox talks. This full-time role may require travel to multiple field sites and adherence to MasTec safety

Qualifications

• 1-3 years related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Minimum 1 year of experience in heavy equipment operation role
• Ability to read and interpret safety and operating manuals
• Strong safety mindset and ability to participate in toolbox talks

Responsibilities

• Operate excavator, dozer, loader, forklift, backhoe and other heavy equipment per project needs
• Load, level and move earth, materials and debris on job sites
• Coordinate machine actions with crew signals and project timelines
• Perform preventive maintenance and report malfunctions
• Travel to different job sites as required
• Comply with safety policies and procedures at all times
