Job summary

MasTec Industrial seeks a Heavy Equipment Operator for on-site heavy civil, industrial, and wind projects. Responsibilities include operating front end loaders, graders, excavators, dozers, and more, while maintaining safety and communication with crew members.

The role requires 1–3 years of related experience, safety knowledge, and the ability to perform maintenance tasks and coordinate with other crew activities. Travel to project sites may be required; 50-hour weeks are common.

Qualifications

• 1-3 years related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Minimum 1 year of experience in heavy equipment operation.
• Knowledge of MIC Health and Safety programs.

Responsibilities

• Promote and comply with all Company and safety policies and procedures.
• Operates heavy equipment and includes knowledge of equipment functions, running, detecting problems, and driving.
• May build level and/or extreme terrain and excavate land surfaces using equipment listed above.
• Drive and maneuver equipment over working areas to remove topsoil, vegetation, and rocks and to distribute and level earth or terrain.
