Job summary

Adena Corporation is seeking an Equipment Operator to support jobsite activities using a variety of heavy equipment. The role requires reading load charts, performing routine inspections, and adhering to OSHA safety procedures.

Responsibilities include operating cranes, forklifts, dozers and other heavy machinery, reporting issues to supervisors, and maintaining equipment. Travel to different sites may be required. A valid driver's license and reliable attendance are essential.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Experience or training operating heavy equipment preferred.
• Obtain proper training and certifications prior to operating equipment.
• Valid driver's license with clean driving record.
• Good eyesight, hearing and coordination to operate levers safely.
• Willing to travel to jobsites, sometimes overnight.
• Strong judgment and ability to work with others with minimal supervision.
• Understanding of standardized hand signaling.
• Reliable attendance and work ethic.

Responsibilities

• Operates heavy equipment of various sizes and weights (crane, forklift, trackhoe, skid loader, etc.).
• Reads and understands load charts for lifting equipment.
• Reports problems to Foreman, Superintendent or Safety Director.
• Follows daily procedures from job orientations and trainings.
• Performs routine inspections and notifies supervisor of defects or needed repairs.
• Cleans and maintains equipment regularly.
• Adheres to safety policies and OSHA procedures to create an accident-free environment.
• Other duties as assigned.
