Job summary

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Experience operating heavy equipment required.
• Obtain proper training and certifications prior to operating equipment.
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
• Ability to travel to jobsites; overnight stays may be required.

Responsibilities

• Operates heavy equipment of various sizes and weights (crane, forklift, trackhoe, skid loader, off road trucks, dozer, backhoe, loader, etc.).
• Reads and understands load charts for lifting type equipment (forklifts & cranes).
• Brings problems/concerns to the attention of the Foreman, Superintendent or Safety Director.
• Follows daily procedures as set forth in job orientations and trainings.
• Performs routine inspections on assigned equipment and notifies supervisor of defects or needed repairs.
• Cleans and maintains equipment regularly.
• Adheres to the company's safety policies and OSHA safety procedures to create an accident free work environment.
• Other duties as assigned.
