Job summary

Maine Drilling & Blasting is seeking an Equipment Operator to join our team. You will operate heavy construction equipment, follow supervision instructions, and support drilling and blasting activities. This role requires safety-mindedness and reliability in varying weather conditions.

Hourly rate ranges from $20 to $22, with a travel stipend possible. Valid driver's license and prior laborer experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• Experience operating heavy construction equipment such as backhoe, skid steer, excavators, or loaders.
• Valid Driver's License with own transportation.
• Experience as construction laborer.
• Mechanical aptitude with equipment, motors, hydraulics, or electrical systems.

Responsibilities

• Operate assigned equipment safely and in accordance with instruction from Supervisors or Operators.
• Maintain safety and adapt to varying weather environments.
• Possibly travel out of town and work overtime.
• Perform daily maintenance on equipment for safe operation.
• Adhere to safety policies and procedures.
• Learn drill patterns and execute layouts as directed by Foreman.
