Job summary

Maine Drilling & Blasting is seeking an Equipment Operator to join our majority employee‑owned team. You will operate heavy construction equipment on site, learn drilling and blasting processes, and contribute to a safety‑minded workflow.

Hourly Rate: $20 - $22 per hour, plus a travel stipend. Valid driver's license, construction labor experience, and ability to travel are required. We value integrity, teamwork, and ongoing development within our ESOP company.

Qualifications

• Experience operating heavy construction equipment is helpful.
• Valid Driver's License with own transportation.
• Experience as construction laborer.
• Must pass a pre-employment physical and drug screen.
• Must successfully complete ATF background screening.
• Mechanical aptitude around equipment and related systems.

Responsibilities

• Operate job-specific equipment as directed by Superintendents or Blasting Supervisor.
• Maintain safety and perform duties in varying weather conditions.
• Travel out of town and work overtime as required.
• Carry out daily maintenance for safe equipment operation.
• Adhere to safety policies and procedures.
• Learn drill patterns and execute layouts as directed by Foreman.
