Job summary

Maine Drilling & Blasting is hiring for an equipment operator role in Auburn, NH. Qualifications

• Equipment operating experience is helpful for handling heavy construction equipment.
• Valid Driver's License with own transportation is required.
• Experience as construction laborer is preferred.
• Mechanical aptitude based on past experience around equipment, motors, hydraulics, and electrical systems.
• Must pass a pre-employment physical and drug screen.
• Must successfully complete a background screening for ATF.

Responsibilities

• Perform job instructions from Superintendents, Blasting Supervisor or Drill Operators.
• Be safety-minded and able to work in varying weather conditions.
• Out of town travel and overtime may be required.
• Perform daily maintenance for safe, efficient operation of assigned equipment.
• Adhere to Company Safety Policies and Procedures.
• Learn drill patterns and execute them as directed by the Blaster Foreman.
• Inventory drill accessories and monitor costs.
• Communicate problems and terrain conditions to the Blaster/Foreman.
• Use the Field Accounting system to complete drill reports, hole sheets, and timecards.
• Maintain physical agility to perform duties.
• Coordinate supplies with the Blaster.
• Carry all tools and supplies.
• Attend Foreman's, Safety, and Daily Heads-Up meetings as needed.
• Complete Driller I training within the designated period.
• Work unsupervised with a sense of urgency.
• Other duties as assigned.
