Job summary

Maine Drilling & Blasting Inc is seeking a Heavy Equipment Operator/Driller Trainee in Manchester, NH. You will learn to operate backhoes, skid steers, excavators, and loaders while supporting blasting operations under supervision.

The role offers $20–$22 per hour, plus a travel stipend, with advancement opportunities within a majority employee-owned ESOP company that values safety and employee growth.

Qualifications

• Experience operating heavy construction equipment is preferred.
• Must hold a valid driver’s license and have own transportation.
• Must pass a pre-employment physical and drug screen.
• Background screening for ATF is required.

Responsibilities

• Operate heavy equipment such as backhoes, skid steers, excavators, or loaders.
• Follow instructions from Superintendents, Blasting Supervisor, or Drill Operators.
• Maintain safety and work in varying weather conditions.
• Travel out of town and work overtime as needed.
• Perform daily maintenance on equipment for safe operation.
• Execute drill patterns and layouts as directed by the Blaster Foreman.
• Record drill reports, hole sheets, and timecards accurately.
• Coordinate supplies with the Blaster and participate in safety meetings.
• Attend Driller I training within the designated period.
