Job summary

Recology is seeking an Equipment Operator for the Vernalis, CA site to support waste and recycling operations. The role runs Tuesday through Saturday, 6am–2:30pm, focusing on safe transport and efficient removal of materials. You will operate heavy equipment, maintain safety standards, and interact professionally with customers.

Applicants should have at least three years of related experience, knowledge of safety regulations, and basic computer skills. A high school diploma or GED is preferred.

Qualifications

• Three years of related experience with heavy equipment.
• Knowledge of job site safety and local regulations.
• Ability to use basic computer programs.
• High school diploma or GED preferred.

Responsibilities

• Operate a loader, dozer, excavator or similar equipment as location requires.
• Maintain a safe and clean work environment.
• Maintain professional customer relations with customers.
• Perform daily pre- and post-shift inspections on assigned equipment.
• Report issues to the appropriate authority in a timely manner.
• Support other areas of the operation as needed.
• Report all accidents and safety violations promptly.
