Job summary

Black & Veatch Family of Companies seeks an experienced equipment operator to work on a power construction project. Operate excavators, loaders, dozers and other heavy equipment, perform routine maintenance and document logs.

You will coordinate with crew, follow safety protocols and support safety initiatives on site. Qualifications include 3+ years of operator experience, NCCER credentials, a valid CDL when on public roads, and a current Medical Examiner’s Certificate.

Qualifications

• 3+ years or 6,000 hours of equipment operating experience.
• Must hold a CDL when operating on public roads.
• Medical Examiner's Certificate on file before operation.
• At least 18 years old and able to work long shifts.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain heavy construction equipment per project specs.
• Coordinate machine actions with crew signals and move loads safely.
• Record maintenance logs and conduct daily equipment inspections.
• Follow safety rules, identify hazards, and participate in pre-job planning.
• Respond to emergencies, report accidents, and support safety programs.
