Job summary

Black & Veatch Family of Companies seeks an experienced Equipment Operator to operate a range of construction equipment for power projects. You will ensure safety, load handling, and efficient excavation work on site.

Minimum 3+ years of equipment operation and a valid CDL if required; NCCER credentials and rigging knowledge are preferred. This role demands physical endurance and strict adherence to safety protocols.

Qualifications

• 3+ years or 6,000 hours of equipment operation experience.
• Strong working knowledge of operating and rigging crafts.
• Commercial driver's license required when equipment operated on public roads.

Responsibilities

• Operate various power construction equipment (e.g., loader, dozer, backhoe, excavator) to excavate, move, and grade material.
• Coordinate machine actions with crew signals and move loads safely.
• Perform daily inspections and basic maintenance; document results in logs.
