Job summary

Charah Solutions, Inc. is seeking a heavy equipment operator in Belmont, NC to safely load and move materials at our job sites. This hands-on role requires operating forklifts, dozers, excavators and other equipment in a busy construction environment.

The ideal candidate has at least one year of experience, a valid driver's license, and a high school diploma or equivalent. You will follow safety rules, perform routine maintenance, and work nights or overtime as needed.

Qualifications

• Minimum one-year experience operating heavy equipment in a construction or similar environment.
• Knowledge of materials, methods, and tools involved in ash management, structural fills and landfills preferred.
• Knowledge of machines and tools, including their designs, uses, repair, and maintenance preferred.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

Responsibilities

• Load and move materials using heavy construction equipment.
• Drive and maneuver equipment with blades to level earth.
• Coordinate machine actions with crew via signals.
• Perform routine maintenance and identify maintenance needs.
• Adjust machine controls to precise positions as needed.
• Follow and promote all safety regulations.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
