McGill Environmental Systems of NC, Inc. is seeking a 2nd shift Plant / General Laborer (Utility Technician I) in New Hill, NC. This hands-on role supports production, equipment operators, and site operations with a strong emphasis on safety and teamwork.

The position offers a Monday–Friday 2:30PM–11:00PM schedule, optional Saturdays/overtime, and a comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, vision, 401(k), PT0, tuition reimbursement, and growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• 1+ year of general labor, warehouse, manufacturing, landscaping, construction, or outdoor work preferred.
• Must be at least 18 years old and legally authorized to work in the United States.
• Ability to perform physical work throughout the shift.
• Willingness to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
• Strong attendance and dependability.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Perform site cleanup and general labor duties throughout the facility.
• Assist with loading, unloading, and moving materials.
• Support Heavy Equipment Operators and Maintenance Technicians.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to work outdoors year-round in varying weather conditions
• Comfortable working around dust, dirt, mud, odors, noise, and moving equipment
• Ability to wear required PPE, including safety glasses, gloves, hard hats, steel‑toe footwear, and respiratory protection when required
