McGill Environmental Systems in New Hill, NC is hiring a 2nd shift Plant / General Laborer (Utility Technician I) to help keep our compost production running safely and efficiently. The role is hands-on, outdoors, and requires reliability, teamwork, and a strong work ethic.

Starting pay ranges from $18 to $20 per hour, with a daily pay option and benefits including medical, dental, vision, 401(k) with match, and paid time off. Opportunities for training and career advancement are available.

Qualifications

• 1+ year of experience in general labor, warehouse, manufacturing, landscaping, construction, industrial, or outdoor work preferred
• Ability to perform physical work throughout the shift
• Willingness to work outdoors in varying weather conditions
• Must be at least 18 years old and legally authorized to work in the United States

Responsibilities

• Perform site cleanup and general labor duties throughout the facility
• Assist with loading, unloading, and moving materials
• Support Heavy Equipment Operators and Maintenance Technicians
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment
• Follow all company safety policies and procedures
• Assist with inspections, housekeeping, and routine operational tasks
• Work safely around equipment, vehicles, and industrial machinery
