D&J Construction Company is seeking skilled Heavy Equipment Operators to support our highway construction and earthwork operations in Louisiana. Proficiency with dozers, trackhoes, and motor graders is required to ensure accurate grading and efficiency on-site.

Ideal candidates will have at least 2 years of related experience, read grading plans, and be safety-conscious. Pre-employment screenings and a valid driver’s license are required for consideration.

Heavy Equipment Operator – Dozer, Trackhoe, and Motor Grader

D&J Construction Company, a leading highway contractor in Louisiana, is seeking skilled and experienced Heavy Equipment Operators to join our team. We are looking for individuals proficient in operating dozers, trackhoes (excavators), and motor graders to support our construction and earthwork operations.

Position Overview: The Heavy Equipment Operator is responsible for the safe and efficient operation of heavy machinery to perform site grading, excavation, and road construction. Operators must have experience handling dozers, trackhoes, and/or motor graders while ensuring accuracy and adherence to safety regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate dozers, trackhoes (excavators), and motor graders for grading, excavation, and earthmoving tasks.
• Read and interpret grading plans, blueprints, and project specifications to ensure accuracy.
• Perform pre-operational inspections and routine maintenance on assigned equipment.
• Ensure proper slope, elevation, and grade per project requirements.
• Work collaboratively with project managers, supervisors, and other team members to complete jobs efficiently.
• Follow all safety procedures and regulations, ensuring a safe work environment.
• Maintain equipment cleanliness and organization at job sites.

Job Requirements:

• On-machine GPS, Laser, and Robotics experience is a plus.

Additional Information & Requirements:

• Work hours vary based on seasonal workload, with primarily daytime 10-12 hour shifts.
• Monday through Friday schedule with some Saturday work required.
• Must have a valid driver’s license.
• Must have a valid email address for communication.
• Pre-employment drug screening required.
