D&J Construction Company is seeking skilled Heavy Equipment Operators to join our highway construction team in Louisiana. Operate dozers, trackhoes, and motor graders to support grading, excavation, and road building, with attention to safety and efficiency.

Applicants should have at least 2 years of relevant experience, be able to read grading plans, and work with project managers and supervisors to meet schedule demands. Pre-employment drug screening and valid license required.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of experience operating heavy equipment (dozers, trackhoes, or motor graders).
• Ability to read and interpret grading plans and site layouts.
• Experience in highway construction, site development, or earthmoving preferred.
• Safety-conscious with adherence to procedures.
• On-machine GPS, laser, and robotics experience a plus.

D&J Construction Company, a leading highway contractor in Louisiana, is seeking skilled and experienced Heavy Equipment Operators to join our team. We are looking for individuals proficient in operating dozers, trackhoes (excavators), and motor graders to support our construction and earthwork operations.

Position Overview:

The Heavy Equipment Operator is responsible for the safe and efficient operation of heavy machinery to perform site grading, excavation, and road construction. Operators must have experience handling dozers, trackhoes, and/or motor graders while ensuring accuracy and adherence to safety regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate dozers, trackhoes (excavators), and motor graders for grading, excavation, and earthmoving tasks.
• Read and interpret grading plans, blueprints, and project specifications to ensure accuracy.

Additional Information & Requirements:

• Work hours vary based on seasonal workload, with primarily daytime 10-12 hour shifts.
• Monday through Friday schedule with some Saturday work required.
• Must have a valid driver’s license.
