Job summary

EMERY SAPP & SONS is seeking an experienced Heavy Equipment Operator for construction projects. You will operate bulldozers, excavators, and loaders to move materials, ensuring work is completed on schedule and within budget.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; vocational training in heavy equipment operation preferred.
  • 3+ years of experience operating heavy equipment in a construction setting.
  • Experience reading and interpreting construction plans and specifications.
  • Experience with government contracts and compliance is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Operate heavy equipment (bulldozers, excavators, loaders) to move materials and earth.
  • Maintain equipment and perform basic repairs as needed.
  • Communicate regularly with crew members and subcontractors to meet schedules and budgets.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with crew and subcontractors to coordinate project deadlines.
  • Provide on-the-job training to new operators as needed.

Job description

We are seeking an experienced Heavy Equipment Operator to work on our construction projects. The successful candidate will be responsible for operating heavy equipment safely and efficiently to ensure that work is completed on schedule and within budget.
