The Mid-Level Equipment Operator is responsible for operating heavy machinery to support earthmoving and construction projects. This role ensures efficient, safe, and precise execution of site tasks, contributing to project success and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate heavy machinery such as bulldozers, excavators, loaders, graders, and paving machines safely and efficiently to perform earthmoving, grading, and material handling tasks
• Conduct thorough pre‑ and post‑operation inspections and perform minor maintenance to ensure equipment reliability
• Read and interpret site plans, blueprints, and instructions from supervisors to execute tasks accurately
• Load and unload materials, assist with site preparation, and support logistical activities on‑site
• Adhere strictly to all safety regulations, report equipment issues promptly, and maintain a safe work environment
• Collaborate effectively with team members and supervisors to meet project deadlines and quality standards
• Adapt to changing project requirements and learn new equipment or techniques as needed

Required Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Minimum of 2 years of experience operating heavy construction equipment
• Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) or relevant certification
• Knowledge of safety regulations and best practices in equipment operation
• Ability to read and interpret site plans and instructions

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with a variety of heavy machinery including paving machines and graders
• Certification in equipment operation or safety training courses
• Strong physical stamina and ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions
