Job summary

Brandenburg Industrial SVC CO is seeking a Heavy Equipment Operator to work across multiple sites with heavy travel. You will operate skid steers, loaders and excavators, and perform disassembly of buildings using buckets.

Requirements include a HS diploma or equivalent and 1–2 years of experience. This is a full-time hourly position under the applicable collective bargaining agreement, with competitive benefits.

Qualifications

• HS diploma or equivalent required.
• 1–2 years of experience operating heavy equipment preferred.
• Ability to operate multiple heavy equipment types safely.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate heavy equipment (skid steers, loaders, excavators).
• Disassemble structures using bucket attachments.
• Excavate and grade dirt; load/unload materials.
• Perform routine maintenance and cleaning of equipment.
• Maintain PPE compliance and work in all weather conditions.

Job Type: Full-Time

Travel: Up to 95%

Salary: Hourly Range: $26.52 - $39.50 and benefit package per Collective Bargaining Agreement.

Duties / Responsibilities / Physical Requirements

• Safely operate heavy equipment (skid steers, loaders, excavators etc.)
• Use biter bucket to disassemble buildings & structures
• Excavate and grade dirt, fill &/or debris
• Unload & load materials or equipment from platforms or trailers
• Install &/or remove loader attachments
• Coordination to use heavy equipment to separate various materials
• Perform routine maintenance, cleaning and lubrication of equipment
• Agility to climb onto, into and out of equipment using ladder
• Agility to walk and work on uneven surfaces
• Agility, bodily coordination & dexterity of hands and feet
• Ability to work productively in personal protective equipment throughout work shift in all weather conditions
• Perform all work in accordance with Brandenburg's environmental and safety policies
• Regular and Predictable Performance

Education / Experience

Candidates must have a HS diploma or equivalent; 1-2 years' experience operating equipment or apprentice.

• Knowledge on the use of multiple equipment hammer, shear, grapple and/or bucket
• Ability to make visible distinctions among various debris & scrap materials
