Job summary

Pike Industries, Inc., a CRH company in Vermont, is seeking a Mechanic Intern to learn repair and maintenance of our heavy equipment in the shop. You’ll gain hands-on experience with loaders, graders, pavers, dump trucks, and trailers.

You will work with work orders, inventory systems, safety regulations, and preventive maintenance while supporting the fleet’s upkeep and compliance. Starting pay is $19 per hour, with benefits, retirement savings, and opportunities for growth within CRH’s

Qualifications

Enrolled in a Technical College degree program.
Ability to work extended hours, including nights, weekends, and possible overtime.
Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

Assist with the repair and maintenance of heavy equipment, including loaders, graders, pavers, dump trucks, and trailers.
Help with the work order process, from creation to completion.
Learn to troubleshoot mechanical issues and conduct preventive maintenance on a variety of equipment.
Support inventory management and track vehicle condition reports.
Become familiar with safety regulations and compliance requirements for the fleet.
