Job summary

Pike Industries, Inc., a CRH company, is seeking a Mechanic Intern to work in the shop learning repair and maintenance of heavy equipment. You will gain hands-on experience with a variety of machines and learn inventory tracking, safety regulations, and work order processes.

The internship offers exposure to DOT/OSHA rules, a fast-paced shop environment, and opportunities for growth within a leading highway contractor.

Qualifications

• Enrolled in a technical college degree program.
• Ability to work extended hours, including nights, weekends, and possible overtime.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

• Assist with repair and maintenance of heavy equipment (loaders, graders, pavers, dump trucks, trailers).
• Help with the work order process from creation to completion.
• Learn to troubleshoot mechanical issues and perform preventive maintenance.
• Support inventory management and track vehicle condition reports.
• Follow safety regulations and fleet compliance requirements.
