Job summary

KBR, Inc. is seeking a Heavy Equipment Mechanic to support TACOM (ANAD) operations in Alabama. The role entails performing maintenance, troubleshooting, diagnosis, and repair of heavy equipment and tactical vehicles to sustain readiness.

You will handle preventive and corrective maintenance on engines, transmissions, and hydraulic/electrical systems, including testing, adjustment, and occasional overhauls. This contingency position requires high school diploma or equivalent with appropriate

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent; formal apprenticeship or equivalent preferred.
Ability to diagnose and repair heavy equipment and combat vehicles.
Experience with engines, transmissions, hydraulics, electrical systems and related components.

Responsibilities

Perform maintenance, troubleshooting, diagnosis, and repair of heavy equipment and tactical vehicles.
Perform preventive and corrective maintenance to sustain equipment readiness.
Overhaul and modify combat vehicles and related subsystems.
Disassemble and reassemble major modules and power packs; test and adjust systems.
Ensure safety and quality standards; document work performed.
