Job summary

KBR, Inc. is offering a contingent Motor Vehicle Mechanic role under TACOM (RRAD) to maintain and repair tactical and support vehicles. The position focuses on inspection, troubleshooting, and ensuring vehicle readiness in line with Army standards.

The role is contingent upon award and requires working within a DoD environment. The successful candidate will perform complex mechanical work on engines, transmissions, and power packs, using Army Technical Manuals to diagnose defects and implement

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Verifiable training through an apprenticeship or equivalent.
• Proficient with mechanical practices and Army technical manuals for troubleshooting and part identification.

Responsibilities

• Perform rebuild/repair of major systems on combat vehicles (engine, transmission, fuel/electrical).
• Connect transmissions and engines to form power packs; test configurations for various transmissions.
• Perform external repair of power pack assemblies and pre-shop turbine engine analyses.
