Job summary

Rogers Group, Inc. is seeking a Heavy Equipment Mechanic/Diesel Technician for our Carolina SMA operations in Greer, SC. This role reports to the Shop Foreman and will service a variety of asphalt and milling equipment.

The candidate should have at least 3 years of heavy equipment experience, be able to troubleshoot and repair major systems, and perform routine maintenance with strict safety standards in mind. Weekend overtime may be required and the position offers comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of experience on heavy equipment.
• Welding and fabrication ability.
• Operate mobile equipment and company vehicle; strong safety practices.

Responsibilities

• Perform repairs and routine maintenance on asphalt and milling equipment.
• Troubleshoot, diagnose and repair major components (engines, brakes, transmissions, hydraulics, electrical).
• Inspect machinery for abnormalities and maintain repair records.
• Work with limited supervision; overtime may be required.
