Job summary

Rogers Group, Inc. is seeking a skilled Mechanic to support field operations in the Greer/Upstate area. This field-based role works on a diverse fleet of heavy construction equipment, on-road trucks, and asphalt plant machinery.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience on heavy equipment or on-road diesel trucks.
• Strong troubleshooting across mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems.
• Ability to work independently in field and shop environments.
• Commitment to safety and DOT compliance.

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance and repairs on on-road trucks and fleet vehicles to DOT standards.
• Troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic, electrical, and drivetrain issues with minimal supervision.
• Diagnose and repair heavy equipment including loaders, haul trucks, crushers, and asphalt plant equipment.
• Complete preventative maintenance to reduce downtime.
• Inspect equipment and take proactive steps to prevent breakdowns.
• Handle field service calls and shop repairs as needed.
• Weld and fabricate as needed to support repairs.
• Maintain accurate work orders and service records.
