Job summary

VLS Environmental Solutions, LLC in Gray Court, SC, is seeking a Heavy Equipment Operator for the first shift at our engineered fuel facility. You will operate forklifts, loaders, excavators, skid steers, telehandlers and other machinery to safely move and load materials and waste.

The role requires 1–3 years of shipping/receiving and warehouse experience, a valid Driver License, the ability to perform inspections and preventive maintenance, and a commitment to health and safety and teamwork.

Qualifications

• 1-3 years of shipping/receiving and warehouse experience.
• Valid Driver License required.
• High School Diploma/GED preferred.
• Able to operate Forklift/heavy equipment.
• Ability to work well with others.
• Lift up to 75lbs.

Responsibilities

• Follow Health & Safety policies and procedures.
• Operate forklifts, loaders, excavators, skid steers, telehandlers and other machinery to move materials and waste.
• Perform daily inspections and preventive maintenance on all assigned equipment.
• Load and unload waste materials in compliance with safety and environmental regulations.
• Offload and verify inbound waste streams, ensure documentation matches materials received.
• Monitor and operate equipment to maintain production flow and prevent downtime.
• Take material samples for analysis and compatibility testing.
• Keep equipment and work areas clean, organized, and free of debris.
• Follow labeling, coding and container management systems.
• Wear and maintain PPE at all times.
• Assist with cleaning duties and other tasks as assigned by the Plant Manager or Supervisor.
