Job summary

Ziegler CAT is seeking a full-time, experienced Field Service Technician to service heavy diesel truck, construction, power generation and agricultural equipment. You will diagnose, repair and support customers in the field, using company trucks and tools.

Starting pay ranges from $38.00 to $51.00 per hour, dependent on skills, education, and location, with potential 10% variation by area. Ziegler offers comprehensive benefits and a safety-sensitive work environment.

Qualifications

• Requires 2-year technical degree or high school diploma with several years of mechanic experience.
• 5+ years of relevant diesel equipment repair experience, preferably field experience.
• Knowledge of hydraulics, transmissions, undercarriage, track systems, components, electrical, and fuel systems.
• Must diagnose equipment without supervision and read/understand schematics.

Responsibilities

• Diagnoses and repairs Caterpillar equipment including heavy construction and power generation equipment.
• Responds to customer needs promptly; company truck provided.
• Maintain safe, clean, and professional work area and service vehicle.
• Documentation of work orders and parts needs; communicate status to supervisor.
