Job summary

Opifex-Synergy is seeking a Field Technician to manage on-site installation, repair, maintenance and testing of heavy equipment. You will diagnose issues, perform safety inspections, and provide service during field visits and dispatches.

This role requires strong diesel engine knowledge, willingness to travel, own tools, and a valid driver’s license. You will work on sites ranging from construction yards to remote locations, following MSHA/OSH standards, and supporting customers while building

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Extensive knowledge of diesel engines and construction equipment.
• Ability to troubleshoot, test, repair, and service technical equipment.
• Proven field service experience.
• Must have own tools.
• Must have a valid driverers license and acceptable driving record.
• Ability to work flexible shifts.
• Military service may be considered in lieu of education/certification experience as applicable.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoots and diagnoses all types of equipment on the job site or in the shop.
• Performs routine equipment cleanup and upkeep as well as safety review and pre-delivery inspections.
• Inspects, diagnoses, repairs, reconditions, and adjusts heavy equipment as required and completes all related paperwork.
• Produce timely and detailed service reports.
• Provide service and customer support during field visits or dispatches.
• Drive to multiple vendors to acquire parts for assigned repairs.
• Operate vehicle safely and use field automation systems.
