Job summary

Opifex-Synergy is seeking a Field Technician to manage on-site installation, repair, maintenance, and testing tasks, diagnosing errors, and providing service during field visits or dispatches. The role emphasizes safety, troubleshooting, and strong customer communication across job sites.

Qualified candidates have a High School Diploma or GED, extensive diesel engine knowledge, field service experience, own tools, and a valid driver’s license. Occasional travel and flexible shifts are expected.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Extensive knowledge of diesel engines and construction equipment.
• Ability to troubleshoot, test, repair, and service technical equipment.
• Proven field service experience.
• Must have own tools.
• Must have a valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record.
• Ability to work flexible shifts.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoots and diagnoses equipment on-site or in the shop.
• Performs routine equipment clean-up, safety review, and pre-delivery inspections.
• Inspects, diagnoses, repairs, and adjusts heavy equipment; completes related paperwork.
• Provide service and customer support during field visits or dispatches.
• Maintain tools in good working order per MSHA and OSHA regulations.
• Communicate with coworkers and customers to ensure top-quality equipment and satisfaction.
