Job summary

Opifex-Synergy is seeking a Service Technician to manage in-shop, repair, maintenance, and test tasks for heavy equipment. You will diagnose errors, perform maintenance, and communicate results.

The role involves on-site installation, field service, and close collaboration with a technical team. The position requires extensive diesel and equipment knowledge, own tools, a valid license, and flexibility for shifts.

Qualifications

• Extensive knowledge of diesel engines and construction equipment.
• Ability to troubleshoot, test, repair, and service technical equipment.
• Must have own tools.
• Must have a valid driver's license and acceptable driving record.
• Ability to work flexible shifts and adapt to changing schedules.
• Military service will be considered in lieu of education/certification experience as applicable.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoots and diagnoses all types of equipment to ensure proper working condition.
• Performs routine equipment clean-up and upkeep as well as safety review and pre-delivery inspections.
• Inspects, diagnoses, repairs, reconditions and adjusts heavy equipment as required and completes all paperwork on the equipment to which the individual is assigned.
• Produce timely and detailed service reports.
• Operate vehicle in a safe manner and use field automation systems.
• Follow all company procedures and protocols.
• Cooperate with technical team and share information across the organization.
• Comprehend customer requirements and make appropriate recommendations/briefings.
• Must be able and willing to help train and assist other technicians in need of assistance.
