Job summary

Texas First Rentals in Frisco, TX is seeking an entry-level heavy equipment technician. The role involves inspecting, diagnosing, repairing and maintaining heavy equipment and related components following established procedures.

You will work independently or with a team to meet customer needs and department goals. Candidates should have two or more years of relevant experience, a high school diploma or equivalent, and basic mechanic hand and pneumatic tools.

Qualifications

• Two or more years of work-related skill, knowledge, or experience is preferred.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Must have basic mechanic hand and pneumatic tools (metric/standard).

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoots and diagnoses basic equipment malfunctions and failures
• Performs disassembly and assembly of basic machine components to manufacturer’s specifications through the use of hand tools, pneumatic tools, and any specialized tooling
• Performs rebuilding, repairing, reconditioning, and maintenance of equipment and components
• Demonstrates basic knowledge of estimating, planning, and controlling cost of repair jobs
• Completes parts orders and identifies parts for return
• Maintains all equipment and work areas
• Works safely at all times and adheres to all applicable safety policies
• Works overtime as required by workload and customers’ needs
• Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; e.g., ProTech Technician Training Paths
• Requires regular and punctual employee attendance
• Performs other duties as assigned
