Job summary

Republic Services is seeking a Maintenance Technician A to repair and maintain diesel and non-diesel equipment, including chassis, refuse bodies, air brakes, engines, HVAC, and suspension systems. Under supervision, you will service our fleet to keep drivers on the road.

The role requires 5–7 years of heavy-duty truck experience and strong diagnostic skills. ASE Heavy Truck certifications (T1–T8) are a plus, as are LNG/CNG exposure and an CDL.

Qualifications

• Diagnose multi-system issues and demonstrate strong technical expertise.
• 5–7 years of experience as a technician on heavy-duty trucks.
• Ability to perform inspections/repairs without supervision on specified heavy-truck systems.
• ASE Heavy Truck Certifications (T1–T8) are a plus but not required.
• LNG and/or CNG experience is a plus.
• CDL Class B or higher is a plus; CDL B preferred.

Responsibilities

• Chassis component repair and maintenance.
• Refuse bodies and hydraulic/electrical systems repair.
• Engine repair and diagnostics.
• Diesel fuel systems and related diagnostics knowledge.
• Suspension, drivetrain and steering systems work.
• HVAC diagnostics and repair.
• Aftertreatment systems/REGEN diagnostics knowledge.
• Electrical diagnostics with scan tools.
• Line maintenance, welding and fabrication.
• Identify malfunction sources using electronic tools.
• Complete company training programs.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
