Job summary

Republic Services in Columbus, Ohio seeks a Maintenance Technician A to repair and maintain diesel and non-diesel equipment, chassis components, refuse bodies, hydraulic and electrical systems, and air brakes. You will work under supervision, use diagnostic tools, and be exposed to advanced vehicle technologies.

Qualifications

• Diagnose multi-system issues and demonstrate technical expertise.
• 5–7 years of experience as a technician working on heavy-duty trucks.
• Inspect and repair without supervision in some heavy truck systems.
• ASE Heavy Truck Certifications (T1–T8) are a plus but not required.
• LNG and/or CNG experience is a plus but not required.
• Class B or higher Commercial Driver's License is a plus but not required.
• Preferred CDL B.
• Valid Driver's License.

Responsibilities

• Maintain advanced knowledge and perform complex repair functions on chassis, bodies, hydraulics, and electrical systems.
• Repair and diagnostics of engine, fuel, air brake, and aftertreatment systems.
• Diagnose issues with scan tools and perform line maintenance, welding, and fabrication as needed.
• Identify malfunctions using a variety of electronic tools and complete required training.
• Perform inspections and repairs without supervision where applicable.
• Contribute to company training programs and perform other duties as assigned.
