Job summary

FleetPride is seeking a Service Writer to communicate estimates, scheduling and work details to customers. A firm mechanical understanding of trucks and trailers is required, with the ability to explain repairs in a knowledgeable and precise manner.

Responsibilities include preparing invoices, open repair orders, reports and memos, and handling clerical tasks. Proficiency with Google Sheets and Excel is preferred, along with strong communication and customer service skills.

Qualifications

• Firm mechanical understanding of trucks and trailers.
• Average PC skills; G-Suite, Excel, Word preferred.

Responsibilities

• Communicate with customers, employees, and others to answer questions and explain repairs.
• Prepare invoices, open repair orders, reports, memos, and other documents.
• Estimate, schedule and invoice repairs; coordinate road calls; follow up to ensure timely completion.
• Maintain filing, inventory, mailing, and data systems; process payments and manage cash.
