Job summary

FleetPride, the largest after-market distributor of heavy-duty truck and trailer parts in the United States, seeks a customer-oriented sales associate. You will help customers by phone or in person, determine parts needed, and quote prices to support profitable sales.

Responsibilities include locating parts from warehouses or branches, processing credits for returns, maintaining display areas, and answering product questions.

Qualifications

• Minimum two years of sales experience; heavy-duty automotive parts preferred.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Basic Windows XP skills (Excel, Word, Outlook).
• Active listening and strong communication skills.
• Time management, persuasion, and service orientation.

Responsibilities

• Help determine and obtain heavy duty parts for customers by phone or in person.
• Suggest sale of related parts for full service.
• Locate and obtain ordered parts from central warehouse or branch.
• Determine sales price per company procedure.
• Handle warranty or defective parts per procedure.
• Process approved credits for returns.
• Answer questions about products, prices, availability.
• Maintain clean counter areas and display areas to encourage sales.
