Job summary

Peabody Energy is seeking a Heavy Duty Mechanic to join the Maintenance team at the North Antelope Rochelle Mine (NARM) in Wright, Wyoming. You will perform mechanical maintenance on heavy and light equipment such as Dozers, Loaders, Blades, and Scrapers used in mining operations, diagnosing faults and facilitating repairs.

Qualifications

• 3 months experience and trade certification preferred.
• Ability to work in all types of weather conditions and at different times of day.
• Ability to work overtime as required by the Company.
• Ability to train others

Responsibilities

• Visibly support and champion Peabody's Mission and Values
• Act in accordance with and adhere to Safety as a Way of Life Management System
• Inspect work area and plant for hazards, damage and defects
• Examine drawings or specifications to determine work methods, sequence of activities or manufacture of components
• Diagnose faults or breakdowns
• Estimate time and materials required to complete jobs
• Raise orders for materials
• Undertake repairs or component changeouts as required
• Clean and maintain tools and work area
• Train other personnel or apprentices (if required)
• Ensure activities comply with safety, environmental and statutory requirements
• Other duties as assigned by the company
