Job summary

Peabody Energy, Inc. is seeking a Welder to join the Maintenance team at the North Antelope Rochelle Mine (NARM) in Wright, Wyoming.

You will perform preventive and breakdown welding on heavy equipment in open-cut environments, including scrappers, blades, dozers, and skid steers. Candidates should have heavy equipment welding experience in construction or mining, ability to work in various weather and shifts, and be able to train others.

Qualifications

• Heavy equipment welding experience in construction or mining; or 2 years of work experience and completion of a 1-year welding vo-tech program.
• Ability to work in all weather conditions and at different times of day.
• Ability to work overtime as required by the Company.
• Ability to train others.

Responsibilities

• Inspect work area and plant for hazards, damage and defects.
• Examine drawings or specifications to determine work methods and sequence.
• Diagnose faults or breakdowns and estimate time/materials.
• Raise orders for materials and perform repairs or component changes.
• Ensure activities comply with safety, environmental and MSHA requirements.
