Job summary

Pembroke & Co. in Auburn, ME is seeking a Heavy Vehicle Service Technician to diagnose and repair diesel and Class A trucks, focusing on engines, hydraulics, and transmissions.

The role is Monday through Friday during normal business hours, with potential for part-time options depending on business needs. You will perform preventative maintenance, inspect for road-worthiness and safety, troubleshoot turbo, injector, and radiator issues, and order parts with approvals.

Qualifications

• A high school diploma or equivalent.
• 2+ years' experience working with heavy duty vehicles is required.
• A Commercial Inspection license is preferred.
• Maintain excellent communication skills & be able to work independently.
• Ability to work overtime if required.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, inspect, service, and perform maintenance on heavy-duty trucks.
• Perform preventative maintenance, inspecting for road-worthiness and safety issues.
• Work with diesel engines.
• Troubleshoot and diagnose issues related to turbos, injectors, and radiators.
• Research and order parts with appropriate approvals.
• Perform maintenance on trailers, as needed.
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
• Report damages or faulty equipment to management.
• Additional tasks as needed.
