Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• 2+ years' experience with heavy-duty vehicles is required.
• Commercial Inspection license is preferred but not mandatory.
• Maintain excellent communication skills and the ability to work independently.
• Overtime may be required.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, inspect, service, and perform maintenance on heavy-duty trucks.
• Perform preventative maintenance and assess road-worthiness and safety issues.
• Work with diesel engines.
• Troubleshoot issues related to turbos, injectors, and radiators.
• Research and order parts with appropriate approvals.
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
• Report damages or faulty equipment to management.
• Additional tasks as needed.

Position Overview

Supporting a local transportation company, the Heavy Vehicle Service Technician will diagnose and repair diesel and Class A vehicles, focusing on engines, hydraulics, and transmissions. The company has many long-term employees. They value community, safety and quality service, while offering a relaxed and friendly team of self-motivated individuals.

This role is Monday-Friday during normal business hours. There may be potential for a part-time option. Saturdays are optional and availability will be dependent upon business needs.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, inspect, service, and perform maintenance on heavy-duty trucks.
• Perform preventative maintenance, inspecting for road-worthiness and safety issues.
• Work with diesel engines.
• Troubleshoot and diagnose issues related to turbos, injectors, and radiators.

• Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
