• Troubleshoot turbos, injectors, and radiators.
• Source and order parts with proper approvals.
• Maintain trailers and keep the work area organized.
• Report damages or faulty equipment to management.
• Carry out additional tasks as needed.

Position Overview

Supporting a local transportation company, the Heavy Duty Mechanic will diagnose and repair diesel and Class A vehicles, focusing on engines, hydraulics, and transmissions. The company has many long‑term employees. They value community, safety and quality service, while offering a relaxed and friendly team of self‑motivated individuals.

This role is Monday-Friday during normal business hours. There may be potential for a part‑time option. Saturdays are optional and availability will be dependent upon business needs.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, inspect, service, and perform maintenance on heavy‑duty trucks.
• Perform preventative maintenance, inspecting for road‑worthiness and safety issues.
• Work with diesel engines, hydraulic equipment, etc.
• Troubleshoot and diagnose issues related to turbos, injectors, and radiators.
• Research and order parts with appropriate approvals.
• Perform maintenance on trailers, as needed.
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
• Report damages or faulty equipment to management.
• Additional tasks as needed.

Qualifications
