Job summary

Triad Machinery in Sumner, WA is seeking a Heavy Duty Field Service Technician to repair, diagnose, inspect and maintain forestry and other earth-moving equipment, primarily servicing rentals and customer-owned equipment.

Ideal candidates have 3–5 years of experience, proficiency with electrical, hydraulics and computer-controlled systems; able to read schematics, lift up to 50 lbs, drive a company vehicle, be on call, and possess a CDL endorsement.

Job Overview

Field Mechanics are responsible for repairing, diagnosing, inspecting and maintaining various types of forestry and other earth moving equipment, primarily servicing rentals, and customer owned equipment. Our ideal mechanic has3-5 years’ of experiencein electrical, hydraulics and computer controlled systems, drive train, & engines; communicates effectively and professionally to customers, supervisors and vendors; can drive company vehicle to/from company locations, and job sites; be on call; able to lift up to 50 lbs.; Technicians from all certification levels will be considered.

Job Requirements

• Prefer 3-5 years’ experience as a mechanic repairing and maintaining heavy equipment
• Positive customer service and communication skills
• Competent using laptop computer and scan tools as part of diagnostic trouble-shooting
• Self-motivating. Capable of completing tasks without direct supervision
• Possess safe work habits, with a "can do" job completion attitude
• Maintains a great attitude toward work, & enjoys being part of a team
• Able to read schematics (both electrical and hydraulic)
• Knowledgeable in troubleshooting various heavy equipment product lines
• Required to have your own hand tools up to 1 ½ inch
• Perform thorough and accurate annual inspections
• A high school diploma or equivalent is required
• Able to pass a drug screen and background check
• Valid Washington or Oregon State or Idaho Driver's License, CDL endorsement is Required

Desired Qualifications

• Factory, vocational, or mechanical training is a plus
• History of working with different forms of heavy equipment, specifically cranes, excavators and forestry equipment

Wages for this position are $32.00 to $43.00 per hour.
