Job summary

Stone is seeking Heavy Duty Equipment Operators for projects in the Greater Baton Rouge to New Orleans Areas. This on-site role in Tullos, LA requires operating excavators and bulldozers to cut and finish grade to specifications, with emphasis on safety and quality.

Ideal candidates will have at least three years of experience, strong GPS/machine-control skills, and the ability to perform pre/post inspections and minor maintenance. OT eligibility and teamwork are expected.

Qualifications

• Minimum of three years of experience operating heavy equipment.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and specifications.
• Experience with underground trenching for water and sewer installations.
• Experience with rotating lasers and GPS machine control systems.

Responsibilities

• Operates Excavators, Dozers, & other grading Equipment to cut/fill grade as they spread and level dirt and gravel to specifications.
• Proficient in operating GPS/UTS machine control systems in dozers & excavators.
• Can read and interpret blueprints and specifications.
• Can shoot grade with rotating lasers and site levels.
• Experience working in Greenfield, Heavy Highway, & Industrial Civil Construction projects.
