Job summary

SVT Fleet Solutions seeks an Intermediate Fleet Technician to maintain and repair a diverse fleet, ensuring safety, reliability, and performance. You will diagnose, troubleshoot, and service vehicles as part of a collaborative team under a lead technician or fleet manager.

Schedule: Monday–Friday 6:00AM–3:30PM. This full-time role offers competitive pay ($36-$38/hr) and a benefits package including 401(k) matching and medical, dental, and vision coverage.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; vocational or technical training preferred.
• 2+ years of experience as automotive/Diesel technician or similar role.
• Proficiency diagnosing and repairing mechanical, electrical, and electronic vehicle issues.
• Knowledge of engines, transmissions, brakes, HVAC, and suspension.
• Familiarity with diagnostic tools, software, and equipment.
• Experience with forklift repair and maintenance required.
• Strong problem-solving and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
• ASE certifications or equivalent are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Vehicle maintenance: oil changes, tire rotations, fluid checks, filter replacements, and preventive tasks.
• Diagnostics: use tools to identify mechanical, electrical, and electronic issues.
• Repair: replace brakes, suspension, exhaust, electrical components, and drivetrains.
• Troubleshooting: analyze symptoms, perform tests, and consult manuals.
• Warranty/Recall: track recalls and coordinate repairs.
• Documentation: record maintenance, parts used, and services performed.
• Safety: ensure repairs meet safety standards and regulations; post-repair checks.
• Parts management: order and track replacement parts; coordinate with vendors.
• Team collaboration: work with technicians and supervisors to solve problems.
• Training: stay updated with technologies and attend trainings.
• Quality assurance: maintain high workmanship to minimize rework.
• Emergency repairs: respond promptly to minimize downtime.
