Job summary

Velocity Vehicle Group seeks an Intermediate Fleet Technician to maintain and repair a diverse fleet. You will diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve issues with automotive and diesel systems, working under a lead technician or fleet manager. Scheduling is Monday–Friday 6:00AM to 3:30PM.

The role emphasizes preventive maintenance, safety checks, parts coordination, and teamwork. A strong foundation in mechanical systems and vehicle diagnostics is essential, with forklift experience a plus.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; vocational training preferred.
• 2+ years experience as automotive/Diesel technician or similar role.
• Proficient in diagnosing and repairing mechanical/electrical/electronic systems.
• Familiarity with diagnostic tools and equipment; forklift experience required.

Responsibilities

• Vehicle Maintenance: perform routine maintenance on fleet vehicles.
• Diagnostic Assessment: use tools to identify issues and interpret codes.
• Repair and Replacement: fix brakes, suspension, exhaust, electrical systems.
• Troubleshooting: analyze symptoms and test solutions.
• Documentation: maintain records in maintenance software.
• Safety Compliance: ensure repairs meet safety standards.
• Parts Management: track and manage inventory of parts.
• Team Collaboration: work with technicians and supervisors.
• Training and Development: stay updated on tech trends.
• Quality Assurance: uphold high workmanship standards.
• Emergency Repairs: respond to urgent repair requests.
