Job summary

Accelera seeks a Fleet Maintenance Technician to ensure the safety and reliability of our heavy-duty transportation assets. You will perform comprehensive preventative maintenance, execute complex repairs, and diagnose mechanical issues to keep our fleet operating at peak performance.

You will document service activities in the digital work order system, collaborate with teammates, mentor junior technicians, and uphold a clean, safe workshop.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 1–2 years of hands-on experience in heavy-duty tractor/trailer maintenance.
• Proficiency in electrical troubleshooting and diagnostics.
• Ability to lift and maneuver heavy components (>100 lbs).

Responsibilities

• Execute comprehensive preventative maintenance and safety inspections to ensure regulatory compliance.
• Perform complex mechanical and electrical repairs on heavy-duty trucks and trailers with minimal oversight.
• Accurately document service activities, parts usage, and labor hours in the digital work order system.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot engine, electrical, and hydraulic systems to minimize downtime.
• Perform minor bodywork and structural repairs to maintain fleet appearance and integrity.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe workshop environment.
• Collaborate with team members to mentor junior technicians and share expertise.

• Strong problem-solving abilities and the capacity to manage multiple repair tasks simultaneously.
• Ability to lift and maneuver heavy components exceeding 100 pounds.

Preferred Skills

• Vocational certification or degree in Diesel Mechanics.
• Active CDL or progress toward obtaining one.
• Experience with DOT inspection protocols and compliance documentation.
• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
