Job summary

Waste Pro is seeking a skilled Diesel/Truck Technician to diagnose and repair engine, transmission, brake, suspension, electrical, hydraulic, and body components on heavy- and light-duty trucks, including CNG systems. Welding and fabrication may be required.

You will follow DVIRs, communicate with drivers and managers, complete paperwork, perform safety checks, and utilize service manuals and vehicle electronics to pinpoint and repair issues. A CDL-B is preferred within 12 months.

Qualifications

• Diagnose and repair engine, transmission, brake, suspension, electrical, hydraulic systems.
• Follow DVIRs and repair orders; ensure safety and compliance.
• Estimate time and material needs; provide guidance to junior techs.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose mechanical problems and perform repairs on heavy- and light‑duty trucks.
• Communicate issues to managers/drivers and discuss preventive techniques.
• Complete paperwork and follow safety policies; maintain clean work areas.
• Utilize vehicle computer systems to interpret failures and initiate repairs.
• Conduct safety checks and work per Factory Service Manuals.
