Job summary

TravelCenters of America is seeking a Diesel Technician to diagnose, troubleshoot and repair heavy duty trucks and trailers across our extensive network. You will deliver accurate, efficient service and aim to return travelers to the road better than they came.

Applicants should have experience in repair or parts shop, good communication skills, basic computer proficiency, and a valid driver’s license. The role requires flexible hours including nights and weekends in various conditions.

Qualifications

• Must have good verbal and written communication skills.
• Basic computer skills are required.
• A valid driver’s license is required.

Responsibilities

• Provide accurate, efficient service by diagnosing and repairing heavy duty trucks and trailers.
• Diagnose wear conditions and make recommendations to customers.
• Complete repairs within capabilities and per written instructions.
• Understand Truck Service Standard Services and customer programs.
• Follow safety guidelines and report unsafe situations.
