Job summary

TravelCenters of America is seeking a Diesel Technician to join our team. You will troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair heavy duty trucks and trailers, providing accurate and efficient service within company standards.

You will perform diagnostics, communicate repair plans to the Service Advisor, and maintain a safe, clean work environment while promoting TA services to customers. The role requires flexibility and commitment to safety and quality workmanship.

Qualifications

• Team-oriented and works well with others.
• High School Diploma or GED; trade school or mechanic experience.
• Willingness to expand knowledge via education and training.
• Ability to work unsupervised.
• Ability to work flexible hours including nights, weekends and some holidays.
• Meet requirements for physical tasks with or without accommodation.
• Investment in own tools.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair heavy duty trucks and trailers.
• Perform diagnostic testing and develop a repair plan with the Service Advisor.
• Repair malfunctioning parts and mechanical or electrical equipment safely and efficiently.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
• Recommend other TA services during inspection reviews.
• Maintain the safety of customers and employees.
