Job summary

Hadco Construction is seeking an experienced Diesel Mechanic to maintain and repair our fleet of heavy-duty trucks and semis used in dirt and construction environments. This role ensures our equipment stays reliable and safe under demanding job site conditions.

In Utah-based operations, you will diagnose, repair, and test diesel systems, perform preventive maintenance, and support field service calls while upholding OSHA safety standards.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience as a diesel mechanic working on heavy-duty trucks or semis.
• Strong knowledge of diesel engines, drivetrains, hydraulics, and electrical systems.
• Familiarity with DOT requirements and inspections for commercial trucks.
• Ability to use diagnostic tools, service manuals, and technical documentation.
• Welding and fabrication experience preferred.
• Valid driver’s license (CDL preferred but not required).
• Must be at least 18 years old and able to pass a pre-employment drug screen.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, repair, and maintain diesel engines, drivetrains, brakes, hydraulics, and electrical systems on heavy-duty trucks and semis.
• Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance to minimize downtime.
• Troubleshoot issues related to equipment working in dirt and off-road conditions.
• Complete work orders and service records with accuracy and detail.
• Operate vehicles to test systems after repairs.
• Respond to field service calls when trucks require on-site repair.
• Follow OSHA and company safety standards at all times.
