Job summary

CK Contractors & Development, LLC is seeking a Heavy Equipment Field Mechanic to inspect, maintain, and repair our fleet of heavy equipment at job sites and in the shop. The role emphasizes safety, craftsmanship, and teamwork within a long‑standing construction contractor.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of mechanical or automotive experience.
• Extensive knowledge of diesel engines, electronic controls, and computer-based diagnostic systems.
• CDL Class A license a plus.
• Ability to read, interpret electrical and hydraulic schematics and service manuals.
• Welding and fabrication experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintain, troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and diesel systems on construction equipment.
• Test equipment after repair to ensure proper performance and compliance with specifications.
• Repair and replace damaged or worn parts.
• Use diagnostic equipment to determine malfunctions and required repairs.
• Manage service documentation, parts orders, and maintain the service truck.
• Ensure safe and clean work areas; work both in the shop and at job sites.
• Travel to job sites within radius; overtime may be required.
